The Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, Ghana has vehemently condemned the unwarranted gory murder of a Christian lady student, the late Debora Samuel, in Nigeria’s Sokoto State for reportedly insulting the Holy Prophet Muhammad as ‘barbaric’.
“Such acts have nothing to do with Islam and must therefore be condemned in no uncertain terms. The perpetrators of this dastardly act must be made to face the full weight of the law without fear or favour” according to the Ameer and Missionary in Charge, Maulvi Alhajj Muhammad Bin Salih.
He was opening the 89th Annual National Convention (Jalsa Salana) of the Mission at Bustan-e-Ahmad in Accra being attended by nearly 5000 members, the Convention, which is also being watched virtually, the theme is Khilafat-e-Ahmadiyya – A tool for authentic Islamic revival.
Painting a picture of the great turmoil in the Muslim world, Maulvi Muhammad Bin Salih observed that the Muslim Youth were gradually developing an inferiority complex and resultantly shying away from Islam.
“The world is gradually but tactfully avoiding the company of Muslims because of the established erratic, inhumane and unfriendly nature of the Muslim”, He noted.
Unfortunately, the Ameer regretted the only services being rendered by Muslim clerics was to malign other Muslims and incite their followers to murder and rob people in the name of Islam. They do this, according to Maulvi Muhammad Bin Salih, by misrepresenting Islam through their foul utterances and making a monster out of Islam.
“In doing so, they have inadvertently created the cherished justifications and leveled the grounds for anti-Christ to thread on and easily crush Islam under its feet,” Ameer added.
