The serene grounds of Bagh-e Ahmad in Pomadze, Gomoa Central District, Central Region, have begun buzzing with activity as advance teams arrive to prepare for the 92nd Jalsa Salana of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission Ghana. Scheduled for January 9–11, 2025, the annual convention will be held under the theme “Justice and Peace – The Essential Ingredients for National Development.”
The first contingent to arrive was a 10-member team from the Volta Region, led by Abdul Rahman Ankamah, the region’s Naib Qaid. They reached the venue around 1:00 p.m. on January 2, 2025. Following shortly after was the Upper West delegation, comprising 6 Atfal and 62 Khuddam, led by Maulvi Abu Zul Hak, Naib Sadr – Northern Sector, Majlis Khuddam-ul Ahmadiyya, Ghana (MKA Ghana).
From the Western Region, 71 members made up of 10 Atfal and 61 Khuddam, have also joined the preparations. These teams, along with others yet to arrive, will actively participate in the critical five-day Security Training Workshop, set to run from January 3–7, 2025. This training will ensure the smooth running and safety of the convention.
In an interview, Mr. Malik Assopiah, Muhtamin ‘Umumi, MKA Ghana, and Chairman of Khuddam Jalsa Duties, highlighted that approximately 500 members are expected to attend the security training and workshop. Beyond training, some members will engage in Waqar-e Amal (Dignity of Labour) to prepare the venue, including the Jalsa Gah, accommodation, market, kitchen and surrounding areas, demonstrating their dedication to the success of this significant event.
The 92nd Jalsa Salana Ghana promises to provide a platform for spiritual growth, communal harmony, and dialogue on vital national issues. As the advance teams take charge, anticipation builds for an impactful and inspiring convention.
