Maulvi Omar Faruq Yahya, Administrator of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, Ghana has described the advent of the Imam Mahdi and the Promised Messiah as apt and timely saying, it rescued the fundamental beliefs of Islam; Allah’s religion.
According to him, the advent of Mahdi revived and restored Islam to its original and magnificent glory, explaining that, the physical purity as well as the spiritual soundness and the love for God had, before then, become a thing of the past while worldliness and vice was the order of the day.
“The purpose of the reformer is to clarify and explain the teachings of Islam directly from the Holy Quran and the Hadith that have been forgotten by the people”, he stated.
Maulvi Faruq Yahya was speaking on “The purpose of the advent of the Imam Mahdi and the Promised Messiah” at the opening of the three -day annual convention of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission at Baghe Ahmad, Pomadze on Friday.
“Indeed, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad was a unique hero in the history of religion in this age. He wielded his pen to reflect all false doctrines and gave right directions in all religious debates”, he said.
He said the Imam Mahdi showed the world the bright face of Islam adding that, the works he did proved that through him was fulfill ed divine promise which God said he would cause Islam to prevail over all religions.
He said the Founder of the Ahmadiyya Movement did not claim to have brought new religion but to remove the errors that had made their way into the views of the Muslims and to ward off the unfounded attacks by religions especially Christianity.
Maulvi Faruq Yahya mentioned that the advent of the Promised Messiah fulfilled the prophesy by the Holy Prophet which states that “when you hear the advent of the Mahdi, it shall be incumbent upon you to enter into his bai’at though one may have to walk on snow, crow or creep to reach him”.
He said it is incumbent on members of the Jama’at to carry on with his mission of showing the beautiful face of Islam to the world, indicating that it was only purpose for which the Jama’at would grow from strength to strength.
“Indeed, we are guided by a strong and wonderful rope of Allah, Khilafat and a great Khilafa who captivates the world also with his spiritual words of peace”, he said.
