The Vice President, Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, says the government has taken steps to strengthen the effectiveness and coordination of the Attorney General’s department, the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO), the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), and other institutions in the fight against corruption in the country.
According to the vice president, the administration of the current government remains steadfast and has implemented and actively enforced a strict code of conduct for political appointees and public officials.



Professor Opoku Agyemang says that those entrusted with public office must practice integrity and accountability and serve above personal interests, and desist from personal interest; those who engage in acts of corruption shall be treated in accordance with the laws of Ghana.
Delivering an address as the Special Guest of Honour at the 93rd Jalsa Salana (annual national convention) of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission Ghana at Gomoa Pomadze in the Gomoa Central district of the central region, Prof. Opoku Agyemang said, the eradication of corruption will go a long way to propel the growth that we all aspire to.
Citing the Holy Qur’an in chapters 30 vs 41 and 3 vs 110, she said it deepens the responsibility placed on leaders to ensure that the right things are done at all times, speak against injustice and uphold values both in public and private life’s adding that the government must also function within this framework.



The vice president praised the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Ghana for its exemplary contribution to the growth of the economy in the areas of health, education, and agriculture.
Among the entourage that accompanied the vice president were the Chief of Staff at the office of the vice president, Hon. Alex Segbefia, Central Regional Minister, Ekow Panyin Okyere Eduamoah, Gomoa Central MP, Kwame Asare Obeng, Deputy Minister for Energy and Green Transition, and MP for Gomoa West, Richard Gyan Mensah, Municipal and District Chief Executives, other appointees, and functionaries of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
